What you’ll do:

With a combination of supervisory, administrative, and hands-on technical duties, no two days are ever the same in this rewarding position. Day to day, you will: 
- Develop and maintain sanitary sewer & water distribution infrastructure maintenance, repair, and replacement programs
- Develop operating & annual budgets, review and approve requisitions, invoices, & permits, and monitor all construction contracts
- Review and input data related to service orders, valves, hydrants, and main breaks
- Manage all union related issues, grievances, and attend 3rd step hearings and arbitrations
- Maintain a high level of collaboration with Operations, Management, Compliance, Customer Care, and Capital Works to communicate and resolve issues

What you need to thrive in this role: 

- Experience: 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater operations and maintenance; 3+ years’ experience managing maintenance/repair operations.  
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in management or environmental science-related fields preferred, or equivalent training and experience. 
- License: Valid PA Driver’s License required; PA DEP Water Distribution and Sewer Collection System Operators Certificates strongly preferred. 
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and computer skills using MS Office suite, GIS & CMMS. Must be able to communicate effectively, work outdoors in all types of weather, and lift up to 75 pounds. Knowledge of the materials, methods, techniques, and tools commonly used in the maintenance, repair, and replacement of components in the water distribution and sanitary sewer systems is a must.
