Lehigh County Authority has a newly created Director of Field Services opportunity in Allentown, PA that requires your positive leadership and operational management skills!

What the Job Looks Like

As a Director of Field Services, you will be responsible for delivering safe drinking water to over 200,000 people along with wastewater collection services, emergency services, billing, metering all with the customer experience in mind.  Your key focus areas will include:
•	Providing strategic leadership and operational & maintenance oversight for all water distribution and sewer collection systems & customer care functions
•	Ensure a safe work environment for all employees
•	Provide 24/7 service with appropriate contingency plans in place for emergency operations
•	Manage financial performance and proactively seek ways to improve cost-effectiveness
•	Provide technical coordination for critical operational programs and projects, including field coordination for major projects and enhancements of technology
•	Create and maintain a high level of collaboration, cooperation, and communication across the organization

Important Qualifications to your Success

To thrive in this position, you must possess:
•	Experience:  5+ years of technical work experience in water or wastewater system construction, engineering, laboratory, operations, or maintenance roles.  Also, 5+ years demonstrating successful management experience, preferably in a utility or related entity.  Supervisory experience in a union setting is a plus! 
•	Education: Prefer a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related discipline
•	License: Pennsylvania Class E water distribution system and wastewater collection system licenses preferred
•	Skills: Strong computer skills using MS Office suite, GIS & CMMS. Ability to prepare regulatory reports, written reports, presentations, and data analysis
